Job Purpose
The Accounts Officer will support the Accounting manager/Accountant in managing day-to-
day financial operations, with a primary focus on inventory accounting, sales reconciliation,
and cash management. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, and
smooth execution of financial transactions related to stock, sales, and expenditures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain accurate inventory movement and reconcile stock with accounting records.
2. Reconcile daily and weekly sales reports across all payment modes (cash, POS, mobile money).
3. Manage cash transactions, prepare bank deposits, and oversee petty cash disbursements.
4. Track and record company expenditures, process vendor payments, and reconcile payables.
5. Prepare and submit weekly reports on inventory, sales, and expenditures.
6. Support month-end processes including trial balance preparation, journal entries, and ledger closures.
7. Monitor customer balances and support debt recovery efforts.
8. Ensure proper documentation and compliance in all financial transactions.
Qualifications,Skills & Experience
1. Degree/Diploma/HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
2. Minimum 1-2 years experience in accounting, finance or similar role.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
4. High attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
